Skating is as healthy as running but is very low impact
This website is designed as a project to run alongside the Open University course that I am doing. While it is my personal project to help me undestand some of the web building techniques that I am learning, I do hope that you will find something useful within especially if you are a new rollerblader and are struggling with both your confidence and balance.
I am not Exactly sure what direction the website will go in, it will develop as I learn more techniques and although a lot of the pages are still to be written, I hope you will get some idea of what I am trying to do just by looking at the navigation menu on the left of the page.
I do intend to cover some vital information about what makes a good skate, where to buy them, where to skate and some of the hazards that you will come up against. Everything that the gumby skater needs to get rolling and rolling fast. The site is unapologetically Eastbourne centric but I am hoping that any new skater will be able to get something from it. I also tend to cover things like the London skates, skating abroad and loads of other good stuff.
I do hope that you will explore the site, find something both useful and helpful and that you will come back soon to see how the site is developing.
